Inktober is a labelled excuse to hone your inkwork a little by challenging yourself to practice it every day for a month.

These are a few from the crop I churned out this year.

The more disposable the media, the greater the impetus to screw around and try new things.
I made thirty or so odd post-it note sketches. These were the more successful ones.

I started experimenting with ink sticks and bamboo reed pens for some chaotic fun.

Some lettering practice with pilot parallel pens for even strokes and fineliners for detail.

I put a colour wash over this one with copics so I could try out white acrylic media with lettering nibs.
It has the consistency of cream, so it takes a bit of work to get it to run properly.
