Mooncake Festival - Chang'E

Mooncake Festival
Packaging Design for SweetSpot at Marina Bay Sands

The Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival also known as Mooncake Festival, is held on the 15th day of the eighth month in the Chinese calendar. The idea inspiration for the proposed packaging came from the Chinese mthylogy, the Chang'E legend.

The enduring legend of the Moon Goddess, Chang'E reflects the feminine principle of yin and unlike many lunar deities in other cultures who personify the Moon, Chang'E only lives on the Moon. Besides Chang'E, the Jade Rabbit also lives on the moon.
It was sent to the Moon because it was the only one who knew how to mix the elixir of eternal life containing jade and apparently may have devulged the secret to Chang'E.
Silver foil tags for gift wrapping.
