I recently rekindled my love for hand embroidery and decided to combine it with my passion for ampersands. The ABC Ampersands Project features objects, animals, collages, etc. in the shape of an ampersand that represent a letter in the alphabet. For example, the letter E is represented with an Elephant. When combined with an ampersand the E is now an Amperphante (elephante+ ampersand). Each ampersand idea is sketched to perfection before being recreated in embroidery floss in an embroidery hoop.
