Process: Cuban Whistle Crisis
A quick rundown of what it takes to make a simple papercraft flavored editorial Illustration

I'm a big fan of process, and I take plenty of pictures while I'm working to let clients know what stage of the project I'm on. -Also, you can go see more stuff like this here:

Every Drawing starts with a sketch. Usually I have to redraw something from my notebook onto a large sheet of drawing paper, but smaller drawings like this can be ripped right out of my sketch book.
The pieces are cut out with an exacto, folded, and pasted together with paper supports to raise the pieces for the compostition.
I light and photograph the final drawing to import into photoshop.
The final black and white image is a photograph that will be painted with colored textures in photoshop.

You can see another version of the final, along with other samples of my work on my Portfolio site.
