Η ιδέα για το ημερολόγιο προέκυψε από ένα αυθόρμητο λογοπαίγνιο που έκανε όλους μας να χαμογελάσουν. Και το χαμόγελο μάς λείπει αρκετά τον τελευταίο καιρό. Έτσι, σκεφτήκαμε να "αναπτύξουμε" αυτό το λογοπαίγνιο με την πρόθεση να μοιράσουμε χαμόγελα σε παλιούς και νέους μας πελάτες, φίλους και συνεργάτες. Το ημερολόγιο περιέχει 12 "φανταστικά" προιόντα για 12 "φανταστικούς "πελάτες" που επιχειρούν να καυτηριάσουν τη νέα πραγματικότητα και τις lifestyle συνήθειες...

2012 Calendar
The idea for 2012 calendar started as an in-house joke. A joke that put a smile on our faces. Over the last couple of years, with all these news and reality going around in Greece, smiling has become a luxury. That's when we thought we could turn a joke into a calendar that would spread some smiles to friends, clients and collaboratοrs. We therefore came up with 12 "fantastic" clients, 12 "fantastic" briefs and 12 "fantastic" products that lash out against current reality, pre-crisis lifestyle habits and subculture...

αχλάδι
Το πρώτο λάδι από αχλάδι.
Το αχλάδι είναι πλέον και ποπ (προστατευόμενη ονομασία προέλευσης)! Η ισορροπημένη γεύση προκύπτει από το συνδυασμό διαφόρων ποικιλιών, όπως κοντούλες και βουτυράτα. Η ονομασία του οφείλεται στην αυθόρμητη αντίδραση του δημιουργού του, ο οποίος όταν ανακάλυψε, μετά από πειράματα μηνών, ότι τα αχλάδια τελικά παράγουν λάδι αναφώνησε: «Αααχ…λάδι!». Μία άλλη εκδοχή θέλει τον δημιουργό να ενοχλείται από το μέγεθος του λεκέ που προκάλεσε η ανακάλυψή του και να αναφωνεί: «αααχ…λαδιά».

Ahladi* In greek ahladi means pear, the word consists of two words; that is ah! -the interjection- and the word "ladi", which in Greek means oil.
The first pear oil.
Ahladi is pdo (protected designation of origin)! Its well-balanced taste arises from the balance of a variety of pear cultivars, such as buttery and kondoulas. The brand owes its name to the ahladi founder’s impulsive reaction when after months of experimenting, he found out that pears actually do make oil and exclaimed in delight: “aaah…ladi”! Another version of the same story is that the founder was hugely annoyed with the stain caused by his discovery and yelped: “aaah…ladia”!*
*ahladia means pear tree in greek. Yet, ahhh…ladia! means ahhh…stain!S ince "ladia" means stain.

Νηστίσιμο & οικονομικό.
Το χαλβιάρι κατατάσσεται στην κατηγορία των λεγόμενων «μεταβατικών»επιδορπίων. Των επιδορπίων δηλαδή που δίνουν τη δυνατότητα στο κόσμο να προσαρμοστεί σταδιακά στη νέα πραγματικότητα. Χωρίς απότομες αλλαγές και επώδυνες στερήσεις. Με το χαλβιάρι, ο κόσμος ξεγελά τον ουρανίσκο του. Παίρνει γεύση και άρωμα από τα παλιά. Η ισορροπία ανάμεσα στο χαλβά και στο χαβιάρι είναι ιδιαίτερα αρμονική. Καταναλώνεται κατά την περίοδο της σαρακοστής. Προσφέρει αίσθηση ανωτερότητας. Halviari *halviari is a word play that relies upon the combination of the words halvas, which is a traditional dessert and halviari which stands for the English word caviar.
Lenten& inexpensive.
Halviari is ranked among the so-called “transitional” desserts. Those desserts offer people the opportunity to gradually adjust to the new economic reality, without having to deal with sudden changes and painful privations. People manage to delude their palate with halviari while having a taste and smell of the good old days. One can find a harmonic taste with a good balance between the halva and the haviari (caviar). Halviari is consumed during the 40 day fast. Also gives a feeling of superiority. Can be combined with Cuban cheapoura*(see December.)
*cheapoura is a word play of the English world cheap and poura,which means cigar, therefore cheap cigars.

Για τους λάτρεις της ελληνικής παράδοσης.
Το Baltsamico κατάγεται από τα βάθη της Ηπείρου και η συνταγή του χρονολογείται από την εποχή της Τουρκοκρατίας. Η παράδοση υπαγορεύει ότι το πάτημα των σταφυλιών για τη δημιουργία του Baltsamico πρέπει να γίνεται αποκλειστικά από ζευγάρια. Συνιστάται ο τσάμικος των 16 βημάτων και οι αυτοσχεδιασμοί, στροφές, πηδήματα, ψαλίδια. Όσο πιο βαρύ το πάτημα του άνδρα και εμπνευσμένοι οι αυτοσχεδιασμοί τόσο πιο έντονη και λεβέντικη η γεύση του Baltsamico. Προσοχή μην μπερδεύετε το αυθεντικό ελληνικό Baltsamico με το βιεννέζικο Valsamico!

For Greek tradition lovers.
Baltsamico originates from Epirus and its recipe dates back to the period of Turkish domination. Tradition dictates that only couples should step on grapes to make Baltsamico. It is advised to do so, following the16 steps tsamico dance and combine with improvised movements and jumps. The heavier the man’s step and the more inspired the improvisations the more intense and gallant the Baltsamico taste.Beware do not confuse original Greek Baltsamico with the Viennese Waltzamico.

Το fish-tiki βρίσκεται κοντά στις ακτές της Αίγινας και σε βάθος που δεν υπερβαίνει τα 20 μέτρα. Ανακαλύφθηκε τυχαία πριν από περίπου δύο χρόνια από επαγγελματίες δύτες. Πιθανολογείται ότι το είδος fish-tiki δημιουργήθηκε από επιμειξίες ψαριών, τα οποία τρέφονταν με τσόφλια φιστικιών που πετούσαν πολλές φορές στη θάλασσα οι φιστικοπαραγωγοί Αιγίνης ενώ δοκιμάζαν τις νέες σοδειές. Το fish-tiki είναι μεγάλης θρεπτικής αξίας γιατί συνδυάζει τις ωφέλιμες βιταμίνες και τα μεταλλικά στοιχεία του ψαριού με τα αντιοξειδωτικά και τα μονοακόρεστα λιπαρά των φιστικιών.

Fish-tiki is found near Aegina’s shore in depths less than 20 meters. It was randomly discovered by professional divers. It is thought likely that the fish-tiki species is a result of cross-beeding fishes. It is also thought possible that fishes would eat pistachio shells that producers would throw into the sea when trying new crops. Fish-tiki holds great nutritional value, since it combines fish’s beneficial vitamins and magnetic elements with pistachio’s antioxidants and monounsaturated fats. You are kindly requested to have a British accent when asking for a fist-tiki, otherwise you can easily be misunderstood and people may think that you are asking for a greek fistiki – pistachio instead.

Το μυαλό τους είναι ένα απέραντο πεντάγραμμο. Όλα όσα βλέπουν καταγράφονται με τη μορφή μελωδιών. Τα φα – σολ – λα – κια είναι η τροφή για σκέψη των μουσικών, τραγουδοποιών και συνθετών. Η συσκευασία περιέχει δύο ξεχωριστές σακούλες μία για τον εξωτερικό φλοιό για να σχηματίζετε το πεντάγραμμο πάνω στο πιάτο και μία για το εσωτερικό, τα σπόρια ή αλλιώς τις νότες. Λέγεται πως μεγάλοι σύγχρονοι Έλληνες συνθέτες έχουν εμπνευστεί ιστορικά λαϊκά άσματα από τα φα – σολ – λα – κια. Tο πιο γνωστό: «Η ζωή χωρίς εσένα, λαιμός χωρίς καδένα».

Fa.sol.la.kia* Fresh beans in Greek are known as fasolakia. Therefore, the music notes’ wordplay.
For music lovers.
Their brain is like a vast stave. Whatever they may see is automatically transcribed into melodies. Fa.sol.la.kia is musicians’, composers’and singers’ food for thought. The “ingredients” of fa.sol.la.kia are contained in two separate sachets. On the one sachet one can find the fresh beans’ peel to make something like a stave on the plate. On the other sachet, one will find the seeds, or what would better be called notes. It is said that fa.sol.la.kia has inspired great contemporary composers to write historic popular songs, the most famous being the: “without you on my brain, I am like a neck without the golden chain”.

Beeriba
Μπύρα για τους φαν της μπιρίμπας.
Το κενό στην αγορά για το κοινό της μπιρίμπας ήταν εμφανές. Σε παιχνίδια μεροκάματο (πάνω από 8 ώρες) υπήρχε πάντα ένα σοβαρό θέμα που συμπυκνωνόταν στην ερώτηση: «τι να πιούμε;» Από τη μία με τον καφέ τα χέρια των παιχτών έτρεμαν και από την άλλη με το αλκοόλ τα έβλεπαν όλα «μπαστούνια». Μετά από πολλή πίεση από το target group «φανατικοί μπιρίμπας» δημιουργήθηκε επιτέλους η beeriba με ακόμη πιο χαμηλό ποσοστό αλκοόλ από τις μπύρες της αγοράς και με βιταμίνη C για γρήγορη σκέψη.
Η beeriba πλέον λειτουργεί και ως ένα είδος επιβράβευσης: «Έκανα μπιρίμπα! Πιάσε μία beeriba”.

Beeriba* biriba is the greek version of a card game of Italian origin,known as pinnacola. The name beeriba therefore comes from acombination on two words: beer and biriba.
The biriba fans’ beer.
For the so-called biriba fans the gap in the market was rather obvious.In day’s work games (games, which would last more than 8 working hours) an inevitable question would always arise: “what should we drink?” On the one hand, coffee made the player’s hands a bit shaky; on the other hand alcohol was a bit of a twister for them. In the face of a lot of pressure by the biriba fans target group,beeriba was finally launched. Beeriba has lower alcohol content than regular beers and contains Vitamin C to give players’ brains power to think faster. Beeriba now works like a reward: “I did a biriba! Grab me a beeriba!”
