The Flawless Victories Design Team believes that our human lives are valuable. We, as individuals greatly differ from one another but are tied together in some very basic ways. In our latest project we wanted to respond to those basic human needs and improve on an everyday object that has remained constant throughout our lives. On the bottom level of Maslow’s Hierarchy of needs is the physiological. These include basic functions such as food, water, sleep, and, as we believe, bathrooms. By designing for this base level of human satisfaction our product will have a broad reach and improve many lives of varying demographics.
Recently there has been a great deal of innovation surrounding the design of public restrooms with the introduction of hands free faucets and toilets and paperless hand dryers.  Residentially speaking, some directly competing companies are introducing multi-functioning, high-end toilets. Some apps have already begun to address the problem of the lack of public restrooms.
Direct target customers for Three Seashells will be local autonomous entities, private sectors, or colleges. Also, intended users will be the public regardless of gender, age and disability. To better understand how the intended users will use Three Seashells, we created personae based on demographics, statistics, and surveys.
The Three Seashells is designed to use less water per flush and is required to flush fewer times. The Hydrophobic Nanotechnology coating will eliminate the need for a flush every time. A sensor in an automated flushing system will flush a tank when full. This puts the Three Seashells somewhere in between these two extreme sides of the urinary world.
Through sensors interconnection with sensors in the stall the user will be given feedback at the point of entering and the point of leaving. A soothing, peaceful voice would welcome the visitor with “Hello” and a gentle suggestions, such as:
●   “If you sprinkle when you tinkle – Please wipe it up.”
●   “Remember to use the hand-sanitizer before leaving. A clean city, is a healthy city.”
When the patron leaves the second feedback will be given with a flushing sound (since our urinal will not actually flush).
Three Seashells stalls and urinals will be interconnected with an app for easy location. Sensor Technology will be integrated into the stall floor, responding based on different positions of the user. A second sensor in the flushing tank will conserve water while maintaining a clean environment.
