This artist book serves as a personal reflection of various emotions that we all feel. This hand bound book has watercolor images that show these different emotions and the colors that correspond with each emotion.

 

Overall each page is a similar in terms of composition, thus showing how color and facial distinctions can drastically change the mood and theme of the individual pieces. The book is not about representing each emotion, but to distinguish what characteristics define each emotion and the use watercolor allows each piece to bleed from the page.

 

Movement through the pages is essential. The accordion structure allows the pages to fan out and create a wave of movement which allow the pages to be seen individually or as a whole.
