Matthew Mole Chalkboard

CHALKBOARD ARTWORK
Whilst in the employment of Upriver Developments one of the tasks I enjoyed the most was designing and drawing chalkboards for South Africas biggest bands. These chalk boards stood outside Pont de Val Riverside Bistro to welcome guests attending the concerts.

"Matthew Mole is a South African artist from Cape Town.[1][2]
His independent EP You Did Well, Kid was released online in 2011.[3] He also opened his other singles for free on the Internet. In 2012 he won the Converse Get Out Of The Garage competition.,[4] a gig in London's 100 Club, and a recording session at Converse's studio in New York. After winning the competition, he signed to Just Music and released his second EP "Same Parts, Same Heart" in December 2012.[5][6] Mole describes his musical style as folk with an electronic "backbone"." -
Quote from Wikipedia

In this design I created a fusion between French typographic elements and a banjo that runs subtly from top to bottom.
Here's another chalk board I designed for Prime Circles live show.
"Prime Circle is regarded as South African rock royalty with numerous awards, six studio albums which have achieved multi-platinum status, several chart-topping singles and sold-out tours to its name.
Known as the best rock band in this country, the group is also being recognised on the international stage and has management in Germany. In the past few years Prime Circle has made strong inroads into the UK and European markets, gigging intensively and being playlisted on radio and headlining major rock festivals." - quoted from the Prime Circle Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/Prime.Circle/

Yes I took this photo of myself for fun at 3am in the morning, dead tired. I work hard!
