A joint collaboration between myself and victoria Stansfield.
After working together on 'Dark tales and the rose of solitude' and seeing some of victoria's test make up images, we decided to get into the studio and bring her clowns to life.
After some discussion we decided we wanted to stay away from happy clowns. I rememeber as a child seeing some portraits of solemn clowns in my parents friends house, and the fact that underneath all the happy make up the unhappiness seeped out, it left a lingering impression.
