Making Money
A redesign of American Currency
Making money is hard work. The challenge was to make a new 20 dollar bill that incorporated the same semiotic language as our current system. After having fun with the security patterns and the typography, I had to decide who would be featured on the front of the bill. I had a couple of ideas but then realized that in our country each American is as important as the next, therefor I left the frame empty. The final bill was somewhat reflective, making the frame a mirror, symbolizing that every American is important enough to be on our currency.
