Regional jewellery II

KARKOnoszę – project of regional jewellery

Project of regional jewellery of Karkonosze Mountains in Poland, designed
with purpose of popularization this area by using regional minerals and gems.
It is also an attempt of finding a characteristic element of this region, which could

also be interpreted as its identification at the same time.

The name in Polish, except the name of the mountains, literally means
“the neck-I-wear,” which is a kind of a play on words.
The collection consists of repeating geometrical module made of silver wire. Dimensional solids confine selected gem in symmetrical frame. Thanks to movable joint, there is possibility of replacing the content anytime by the user.

Each of the pendant is customized for few sizes of minerals including approximate size of the stone and its non-standards, related to the volume or natural shapes without grinding processing.
By altering the scale of the module, an integrated set of jewellery was created.
It consistsof single pendants, ring and two different kinds of necklaces,
earrings
and bracelets.

The collection is made of elements where it is possible to freely exchange the minerals,
as well as of the forms without the presence of the stone. This lets the user select

the chosen parts of the set at its sole discretion.
This set of jewellery is part of my Bachelor's Degree Diploma project
designed in University of Arts in Pozna
ń, Poland in 2014.

The other part consists of the set of silicone jewellery
- you can find it in my other projects
.
