Synesthesia is the involuntary connection of senses, where the real information of one sense is accompanied by a perception in another that is regarded by the synesthete, as real and often outside of the body.
The outcome of the imagery is driven by properties of sound such as frequency and amplitude. Akin to the process of how the brain transforms the sound we hear to imagery that can be seen, the audio signal is transformed to a video signal.
