Akuminlinux is a free linux-based operating system created to fill the aesthetics gap in open-source projects.  Using revolutionary ui visions and programming feats, akuminlinux boasts versatile usability, bleeding edge beauty, and a curiously small data footprint.
Window borders are decorated with a corner protrusion which accommodates the maximize, minimize, and close buttons.  The shape of the windows make for easier window navigation and reduce the effects of desktop clutter.  For those who prefer a more traditional border, the akuminlite border, a simpler alternative, also packaged in the distribution.
The akuminlinux desktop combines popular systems with a combination of 4-part dock with links to applications, media, documents, and system, and a bar along the top displaying current windows.
The same concepts viewed in the akuminlinux OS served as inspiration for branding and web design.
Akuminlinux launches private beta November 1st and publicly in early 2010.
