The logo was made to resemble characteristics of pie, and the patterns were made using these. The teardrop shape symbolizes the cuts on the top crust of pie, and the lattice pattern symbolizes a picnic blanket as well as the way some pie crusts are. Excuse the low quality photographs, poor student can't afford a good camera.
