My aim for this body of work was to create a series of images with an emphasis on the visual relationships between light, line, texture, shape and value.

These images were originally color, but I prefer the drama that becomes more apparent when color is removed from the equation.

I chose to photograph with a standard 50mm lens because I believe that the field of vision through that lens is more like how we view the world. My hope is to make the viewers feel as if they are standing within the moments that I have captured.
