    Here are some of the illustrations for Genaro Gojo Cruz's book entitled Gaano Kalayo Patungong Paaralan? (How Far is the School?). It draws from the real struggles of children from underdeveloped provinces who have to walk several miles, often through dangerous terrain, just to be able to attend class at the nearest public school.
    The works are acrylic on wooden panels, each panel measures roughly 8" x 10".
    The story is soon to be published under Lampara Books.
