MPLUS is a portuguese Synthpop/Electronic band, created by Márcio Paranhos (Drums/Sinthesizers) and Mónica Dias (Guitar/Lead Vocals).
A young filmaker with previous connections to rock and blues bands and a multimedia artist with an electronic and experimental background, have decided to merge those distinct musical universes.
The project started in October 2014, where the first soundscapes turned to life. An electric guitar ruled by spellbound textures, a pervasive voice together with an hipnotic rythm, creates M+ identity.
“Freedom”, the first single from the EP “Unfold”, was released on July 3rd 2015 and reflects the unique power of this incredible duo.
MPLUS é uma banda que se enquadra na vertente musical de Synthpop/Electrónica, constituída por 2 elementos, Márcio Paranhos (Bateria/Sintetizadores) e Mónica Dias (Guitarra/Voz).
Uma videógrafa com anteriores ligações a bandas de rock e blues e um artista multimédia cujas influências sonoras abrangem o mundo da electrónica, uniram-se pela enorme vontade de envolver estes dois universos.
Este projeto começa em outubro de 2014, onde as primeiras sonoridades ganham forma. Uma guitarra elétrica num ambiente dotado de texturas sintetizadas, uma voz penetrante e um ritmo envolvente, dão vida ao duo M+.
O dia 3 de junho de 2015 fica marcado com o lançamento do primeiro single “Freedom”, que destaca a energia vibrante desta união musical.
