Bleu by Rod Beattie was my first Junior mentor project. The direction focused on floral inspired swimwear that incorporated eveningwear details aimed at the "wader and parader" customer vs. being a swimmer's swimsuit.

This design was selected by Rod Beattie for me to make. It is a halter style with pleated mesh that drapes over a lycra foundation. Originally, my assigned color was teal, so this design was inspired by the exotic Blue Puya flower that matches it, as well as the draping of Madame Gres. Through the fitting process, my color was edited out and replaced by yellow.

This is my second swimsuit selected by Rod Beattie. The pleated bodice,panty, and cover-up is intended to be a less complicated, two piece version of my first halter suit.

The first fitting of my second suit. The skirt, while dramatic, ended up to be too heavy and was edited to be less full and shorter creating a more "airy" and lighter look.
