From home to home

The wars in China well known as "the rapings of nankin" has left a huge mark on it population, these scars run deep in into the families mind an history. With the installation I created you run walk into their footsteps and experience a glimpse of their moment in history.

I was inspired by one of the stories that has been told from grandchild to grandchild,

"I was still young, I remember widows filled with newspapers. It was very dark and being the curious child that I was I made holes in the newspaper that have been sticked to the window outside. I saw light, I saw people faces"

The installation resembles the same moment in their life but after their immigration, but now in a safer place.
