Research Draft- Outline
I) Intro: Funds to Space. Decrease Debt
   A) Hook: Provide link to past decades of effective funding towards space research and exploration with the mutual benefits towards the economy. Possibly statistics, but something to gain attention.
   B) Thesis: Of course there are numerous ways to benefit a country's economy, but the subject of space research has been a constant link to benefiting America's economy when used effectively. My argument is to make an approach on ways that could possibly benefit the nation's economy through steps within space research.
   C) Implications: Is there a need for cooperation with other countries? Will more space programs be necessary or just enhancing the current ones? How will space craft's efficiency factor into economy?
II) Reaching Out to Neighbors
   A) It's not in America's best interest to attempt to impact the national debt alone.
     - Other countries will most likely want to benefit their own homefronts. For this reason there should be more of a willingness for these other countries to factor into support, such as financial support or alternative strategies.
III) Limits on Space Programs?
   A) Having more space programs could mean efficient ways to broaden research. Expanding goals to have major and minor priorites.
   B) Having less space programs could mean enhancing the current ones and focusing on more compact research with narrow, but precise goals.
IV) Spaceship Food
   A) Finding fuel that isn't widely used on the globe, renewable, and cheap is a solid start to impacting the economy along with space missions.
   B) Durable, lightweight materials to be used for creating cutting-edge crafts could alter the perception of everyday vehicles on the globe. Returns investment back into economy.
V) Challenging Questions
   A) Why study space? Shouldn't efforts be put towards America's own homefront?
   B) Unmanned vs. Manned exploration programs?

Work In Progress Section
Intro: Space research and national debt... They seem like two subjects that are on opposite sides of one another in relation to connections. To me, they couldn't be more closely related. In the United States, space programs have been invested in with increasing national finances since before the mid-1900s; the golden-age of space exploration. The reasons may be complex to many, but to me the reason is this: The unknown opens imaginations and many times offers hope.
Background: Funding for space exploration and research has been at the core of America for decades and decades. Although funding for space has increased consistently throughout the succeeding presidential terms, it has virtually always reflected back great benefits in comparison to the investments. It's a subject that needs to be sustained in America, with just some adjustments in strategy.
