Project of a housing unit in Puglia with integrated technologies.
The house is designed to adapt to the climate of Puglia with hot, dry summers and mild, rainy winters. A small south facing garden provides natural ventilation and promotes the thermal nocturnal dispersion in the summer; while a central courtyard provides light and ventilation in all environments. The use of closures and ventilated roofs helps to improve the thermal insulation and protection from the summer heat. The structure is made of mounted dry wood integrated with foundations and walls mounted wet. The house is on two fl oors articulated like a “C” in which the living and sleeping areas are rigidly divided. The living area is characterized by a continuous space that combines the living room from the entrance, patio and to dining room.
