The brief:
We were required to to promote a novel called the Rise of the Oxx as well as create an interesting trailer to promote the movie as well as a fashion show selling the clothes that were based on the movie.

The Solution:
We broke up the promotion into three linked parts. The book launch was used to promote the movie, while the movie promoted the fashion show which came at the end of the campaign.
The Trailer:

The idea was to show a different side to ‘evil’, we wanted to go the unconventional route.
It is not necessary for people to be labelled as bad just because of the habits they may have or the way they might look, these things do not define who you are as a person.

The concept revolved around the idea of 'Who can you trust?'

The idea for the trailer was to make people think twice before they classify someone as good or evil because you can never truly know who a person really is.
The Trailer storyboard:
The idea was to show everyday people who we put our trust in and show that even they have a flip side. You cannot judge a person by their appearance. We introduce the Fallen first (evil). At the end of trailer we bring in the Oxx (good) and show them rising up to bring the balance back to earth.

Logo Development
The logo is the main element of my campaign, It is either featured on the media and print elements or it stands alone as its own element. The logo was made out of the typeface that i used for the logo itself, I overlapped the ‘x’ with another ‘x’ and once I added the circle in the centre of it, it started to look like horns which is an element that I had wanted from the start.
The Book Launch
The book cover featured the Oxx on the front and on the back of the book so that there would be no mistaking it for anything else. The point of sale that I used looked like a book shelf so that it would be more fitting inside a book store. Prior to the launch the bookmarks had been distributed for free with each purchase that was made. To promote the launch we created a hype and hid ten pairs of tickets for the screening of the movie in randomly selected books
The Movie Launch
The trailer was burned onto CD’s and given out to the public at stores. Stickers were put up outside stores and shopping centres, they were given out to people, the stickers contained the logo and the QR code which allowed people to watch the trailer on youtube where they could like and share it on other social media sites. The popcorn boxes were put into cinemas a month before the movie premiered and free tickets were put into selected books at the launch.
The Fashion Launch
For the fashion side, swing tags, labels and logos for the different types of clothing were made, The Oxx brand was promoted along with the sub labels. Promotional t-shirts were made for the campaign as well. I tried to keep a uniformity between all the labels so that they would be easily recognizable.
The Website
The website was kept very simple, There are five basic pages. The home page has the promotions and is telling people about what they can win at the book launch (the free tickets in selected books).
The second page all the information about the the brand as well as the store (all the background information). Then we have pages for the Oxx clothing and latest releases with new designs that are available in store. The last two pages has the location of the fashion fusion stores that are available and there is a contact page where you can leave a comment for any queries that you may have.
Online Media
The QR code is the link to the youtube page which has the movie trailer on it, thi sis the only place that the trailer can be viewed and it alows you to share it on other social sites.

The facebook site as well as the twitter page has updates on campiagn elements and dates for the release of different elements and sneak previews.

The instagram page showcases all the clothing for fashion an dall the latest designs.
