Landon Dix's profile

LA Exchange at IDSwest

As a summer intern at Falekn Reynolds Interiors, I had the main project of designing the LA Exchange at IDSwest Vancouver, curated by Design Milk. Main considerations include equal representation of showcasing designers, sightlines and photography, lighting, and capacity.

The project brought in many collaborations and sponsors to help with construction. This ultimately lead to a brand new tile design to clad the exterior made locally by Interstyle.
Lightbox walls were used on the ceiling and front printed wall.

All construction was incredibly done by Moosehead Contracting.

Designers showcasing within:
Bend Goods,
Black Crow Studios
Brendan Ravenhill
Eric Trine
Jory Brigham
"For the 2nd Exchange at IDSwest Design Milk has curated six product designers from Los Angeles at the forefront of the city’s design community. Influenced by a carefree culture and climate these designers have a unique perspective on design – refined yet playful and light-hearted.

Falken Reynolds designed the exhibit to connect LA’s modernist past with the design scene of the present. The envelope references Richard Neutra’s houses, concrete blocks and sunshine while the interior is awash in colour to showcase the vibrancy of the exhibitors."
