Berlino, inverno 2055.
Mio figlio Arturo è in visita nella città dove ho vissuto per tre anni.
Quella che un tempo era la capitale tedesca, non è la stessa città in cui han vissuto i suoi genitori circa 40 anni prima, e in cui lui stesso è nato.
Berlino, com’è noto, cambia continuamente, e quella città semplicemente non esiste più.
Sta sbirciando tra alcune bancarelle dalle parti di Hackeschen Höfe alla ricerca di regali per Natale, quando si imbatte in un banchetto che vende libri usati e vecchie cartoline della Berlino che fu.
Decide di comprarne alcune per utilizzarle come biglietti d’auguri, per i suoi amici in Italia.

My son Arturo is in Berlin, the city where I had lived for three years.
The city,once capital of Germany, is not the same city where his parents have lived more than 40 years ago, and where he was born.
Berlin, as it is known, is constantly changing and "that" city simply doesn't exist anymore.
He's peeking between banquetts, searching for Christmas gifts around HackescheHöfe, when he finds a banquett where people sell books and old postcards about the "old Berlin".
He decides to buy some of them, to use as greeting cards to his friends in Italy.

Berlin, Winter 2055.
Mein Sohn Arturo ist in Berlin, der Stadt in der ich drei Jahre lang gewohnt habe.
Die Stadt, damals die Hauptstadt Deutschlands, ist nicht mehr dieselbe Stadt in der seine Eltern vor vierzig Jahren wohnten, und wo er selbst geboren ist.
Berlin, das ist bekannt, ändert sich ständig und "jene" Stadt existiert überhaupt nicht mehr.
Er schaut sich zwischen den Marktständen in der Nähe der Hackeschen Höfe um, um Weihnachtsgeschenke zu finden, als er einen Marktstand findet, wo secondhand Bücher und alte Ansichtkarten verkauft werden.
Er beschließt, einige zu kaufen, um sie als Glückwunschkarten seinen italienischen Freunden zu schicken.
