CCSF JOINT USE PROJECT
PFAU LONG ARCHITECTURE LTD.
Project Status: Under Construction
This project provided the unique opportunity of housing a Junior
College and a California State University, both of which are collaborating on various Teacher Education programs. Combining the two schools greatly facilitates the transfer rate of Junior College students and overall undergraduate completion.
Contained within an 85,000 sq ft building, the structure houses classrooms, laboratories, and computer labs; all of which support Child Development, Nursing, and Community Health Programs.
The project is designed to meet LEED Gold standards using
natural ventilation, a green roof, radiant flooring, a geothermal central plant, day-lighting, west facade shading and green
materials strategies.
My responsibilities on this project were to design the interiors of the building, maintain the base CAD files, research materials, and draw details that pertained to the interior design.
