Glassdoor: Redesign

This design was created for a User Interface Design course at UC San Diego Extension.
The prompt was to choose from several site categories (I chose job search sites), and redesign 5 pages of an existing site.
I chose to redesign several of Glassdoor's site pages. Glassdoor is distinct from other job search sites because of unique company profile features, including ratings and reviews of companies.

I found this information very helpful during my own job searching, but I also thought some of the basic features could be better organized. There is so much information to be found on Glassdoor, and this redesign aimed to make the organization of this information more easily comprehensible.
First Steps: Wireframing

I identified pain points in the current site, then created wireframes with potential solutions for each page.
These redesigns were then peer-reviewed.
Home Page
There is a LOT of information on the current Glassdoor home page.
What it is and why it's relevant isn't always apparent.

I simplified the navigation bar, added a detailed search option, and simplified the "Complete Your Profile", "Saved Jobs", and "Find Jobs On The Go" sections.

Reorganized the "Sort by" tools to correspond to the appropriate column.
Relocated the "save" button and the expansion carrot.
Changed "Create Job Alert" to >> "Save Search".
Added breadcrumbs.
Final Redesign
After peer-review of my initial wireframes, I modified the designs according to problems found during peer review. These are currently the final versions of the redesign.
