Name and Identity
Nebny Foundation is a post-revolution charity foundation that came to life as a result of an activist named Jawad Nabulsy losing an eye in the protests. He wanted to build an entity that would help rebuild Egypt to become a better place for the underprivileged.
Our task was to come up with a strong name that would be easily read in and remembered in both arabic and english since the foundation was going to be multinational.
The name "Nebny" means building, but in a group sense not an individualistic sense, and also it comes from a collective sense, not an authoritarian or patronizing sense, thus making it more of a sincere notion of togetherness rather than an order.
The visual identity was inspired by the arabesque geometry, the colors signify diversity, friendliness and optimism.
