The objective was to modernize the brand of Prinz Optics, a company which produces color effect filters, color conversion filters and optical filters for a wide scope of application.
 
The idea was keeping the crown of the original logo, but give it a higher meaning than only being a symbol for the company's name Prinz (prince). Now the crown is build by three light cones in the basic colors of the additive color mixing (RGB) and where these colors cross the mixture is been shown. To complete the crown on a white background a very light grey close to white had been chosen. Now the logo is also indicating what the company's products are about namely lighting effects.
 
For the corporate font and the claim (Licht wird Farbe = Light Becomes Color) the Colaborate (Carrois Type Design) in three different weights was chosen because of its clarity and up-to-dateness but also its vibrancy.

The new logo is much more oriented to the technical aspects of the products, as the former logo looked more like a toys or sweets company's one.
