The goal was to produce significant amount of business cards for a cosmetic company with translucent look and plastic feel but cost effective at the same time, meaning that the usual approach can not be used - printing on sheets of PVC, because of its high price. It is acceptable for amounts of up to 500 cards but the client required 10 000+, so I came with the solution of using translucent paper as a print media and then finishing with transparent, thick 70 micron, matt lamination film. The final result was far beyond our expectations at a price, times cheaper than if we have used the usual PVC media.
