Arc de Triomphe is situated in the middle of Place Charles de Gaulle, historically known as the Place de l'Étoile, which is a large roundabout in Paris, France, where twelve straight avenues meet. It is one of the most popular monuments in Paris, second only to the Eiffel Tower.
