The Missing Blanket

An application entry for an organization called Ang Ilustrador ng Kabataan
We were asked to choose scenes from the story entitled "The Missing Blanket" and create full page illustrations based on it
"It was like a long flowing stream of colors with lines that resembled the mountains of the Cordilleras. But more than that, different from the cotton and satin blankets from our relatives in Manila, Ina’s blanket was thick and softer, bringing us comfort the way Ina did."
"Ina started making another blanket, but little by little, she became weak. We used the blanket to make her feel safe, but it was not enough. When she died just two months ago, Apong Babai said that it was best if we stopped playing with the blanket. She said that she would like to hang it on the wall so that everyone would remember Ina. Raniag and I, we silently gave the blanket to her, with Raniag running to our room afterwards. I comforted six-year-old Raniag, hugging him and stroking his silky hair. Silently, he cried that night, and I joined him in the misery."
