These model cards were designed for the Spring/Summer 2012 New York Fashion Week. Cards were distributed to various designers to pick models to wear their collections during Fashion Week. Hundreds of show cards were printed and sent all over the world. One such show card belonged to this year's Playboy Magazine Playmate for November, Brittany Nola and others have been seen on Project Runway. My theme for the cards was a large display of the first letter of their names. The effect is similar to dropped capitals and illuminated letters. They are often used in fairy tales and magazine articles. I thought it fitting for models who have been in many different magazines. Because I was only showing thier names I increased the kerning to make it less severe and more flowing and beautiful like the models. The use of thin repetitve lines of outined text was also something I was seeing a lot of in magazines at the time and I put my own twist on the look.

This is what the informational side of Kelly's model show card looked like. Most model cards simply display the model's information with text alligned or centered along a straight line. I went for an unconventional look adding each detail along a curved repetitive line, continuing with the same theme of the photo side of each card.
