Made of 150 year-old reclaimed oak timbers
I was commissioned to build a conference table for a family-owned company that manufactures custom rifles. The owner desired a table that would be, as he put it, “unique and impressive.” Other than that and some basic size and seating requirements, I
was given complete freedom to design the table. I came upon some reclaimed oak timbers that were from a dismantled mill from the East Coast built in the 1800s. The table was designed to showcase a beautiful 8-foot long timber with several of the original hand cut mortises and tenons visible.
