Mazza Recipe Book & Spice Box
An ode to family, food and tradition.
Throughout her life, generations of my Grandma Rena's family have come together over wonderful meals prepared by her loving hands. So for her 90th birthday I created this custom book of everyone’s favorite recipes, along with a spice box containing the appropriate seasonings with which to make them.
My family is of Middle Eastern descent, so the recipe book was entitled “Mazza,” meaning “small plates” in Arabic. Recipe books accompanied by spice boxes were tied with chocolate ribbon and given out as favors at Grandma Rena's birthday luncheon.
