The objectives of this project were to create a short story aimed at an age group from 3 to 5 years old, and then create a toy based on the story. Throughout the entire evolution of the project, I was focused on refining my design process and keeping it at a steady pace. During the duration of the project I worked on blending the progressive steps together from primary sketching and understanding of emotions and ideas the toy would convey, to the sketch model phase and finally to the creation of the final product.
“The boy felt like he was dreaming, he imagined and saw himself flying through colorful canyons and exploring the deepest, darkest rainforests, full of the most unique insects, being in the ocean with whales and turtles, and floating in outer space, exploring distant galaxies.”
