Safe Decor approached Bug Eye Design for redesigning their catalogue. Dealing in laminates, they wished to emphasize their unique product range. I developed a radical concept for thesame. The complete catalogue was treated as a graphic narrative. I created a character and developed a story surrounding each laminate sample.
Story: Safe Decor hires an Indian equivalent of ninja. He is given the task of scouring the earth for the rarest of rare textures. He surmounts the forces of nature at each stage to gather detailed pictures. These are then developed in the lab of Safe Decor to produce each unique texture that the customer is viewing. The catalogue is a graphic memoir where the ninja recounts how and where each group of samples was discovered.
All illustrations used in the project have been self developed.
