Wednesday Morning 3am

This is a work that explores the identity of it's protagonist, the artist, one who often searches within boundaries. The video-performance was realized by programming a camera and lights to switch on at 3 in the morning. In the middle of a blissful slumber the artist is awoken by a bright light, he sits up on the bed, sitting until the moment he falls asleep again. He comes out of his sleeping state to face the viewer only for a few moments before he returns to the previous state. The sleeping state seems to be much safer and innocent in comparison to the lucid state, full of uncertainty and one that requires vigilance. The artist is not completely present, he seems to be in between two realities. He invites the viewer into his own intimate world, one that is suspended between what is internal and external.
