In preparation for our new series of music documentaries Cream City Sound Check our students are practicing their documentary skills by filming local Milwaukee bands.

Student filmmakers Matthew Dwyer, Garrett Katerzynske, Mitch Keller, and Josh Smith document the music of Trapper Schoepp & The Shades, explore what it means to be an independent band in Milwaukee and take a trip to Downtown Books.
The New Orleans band Generationals rolls into Milwaukee, and a crew of doc|UWM students takes the band on a whirlwind tour of the town before documenting the band’s performance at Turner Hall.
