The Trace of Yin and Yang in Gyeongbok Royal Palace / Experimental Typography
The idea for the book was to investigate the Architectural Principles and their beauty in Gyeongbok Palace, is located in South Korea. The palace was the main royal palace of the Joseon dynasty (1392-1897).
The Yin-yang and the five elements theory were applied all over the palace. Using dark green and orange colors found in the architecture, the traditional multicolored paintwork called Dan-Cheong, while hinting at the concept of yin and yang.
