Barnacles are hard, white, cone-like crustacians. A large number of them settle in the same place at once to overwhelm predators.
 
Inspired by these creatures, I have designed housing pods that utilise space efficiently and cluster together in a way that saves space, yet still reserves the dweller's privacy.
