This project was a redesign of an existing product for AA's worms and Optimum Baits. The Monarch Grub Series is a crustacean imitation soft plastic lure. Aside from imitating a crustacean look, the textured body of these baits was designed to displace more water than the average ribbon tail bait. The head has a wider circumference allowing anglers to rig them with larger jig heads, and the tails flutter or rotate in a circle, producing a ripple or current enticing the fish to strike.
Both CAD models were drawn in solidworks and eventually 3D printed to be casted in silicone to make production molds.
To speed up production, multiple masters were made to create molds with multiple bodies.
