The final task of the semester was to design a pair of sunglasses for a randomly chosen person. According to my concept, the sunglasses are characteristic for breaking the arc of the frame. This was inspired by the personality of Dorottya, which I investigated in the frame of a previous project of personality-analysis. The model, thus, refers to the unique personality of the user. The dynamic arc of the frame and its fractured appearance make it look as if it exploded, which refers to the dynamism and energy of the person. The most emphatic characteristic of the model is the solution for the nose pad. The frame is shaped so it bends at the nose so there is no need for a separate nose pad, making the design as simple as possible. The bottom part of the lens complete the concept by breaking the flat surface and leaving two small parts „hanging”. Since the concept is based on hiatus and the distortion of the flat surface of the front frame, I named it as Blend Zero.
