Lough Beltra is one of Ireland’s most beautiful lakes set in wild countryside and surrounded by mountains on all sides. The lough gets a large run of spring salmon and they come to the fly from March until June.

However, it is the beautiful summer light that I come here for. During this time, the sun sets across the lough and paints a beautiful picture with the accompanying clouds in the western sky.

It's a bonus when the fishermen are not out on the water as this allows me to include the boats in my photos. Thanks for viewing - John.
