This body of work focuses on an individuals’ perception of themselves due to persuasive negative thought. The theory is of an exterior force in the form of these ‘social parasites’ invading ones mind convincing them of untruths affecting their self worth, body conscience and general confidence. Each parasite is symbolic of a different untruth. Lies one will believe as if sick with these thoughts. Thoughts that when the sickness is rife will hinder them from reaching their full potential as they don’t believe they are deserving. 

 

Through this belief that it is something external and not us ourselves there is hope that the youth can be rid of the decease and heal towards their full potential once again.
