PETAK BENTENG
"Petak Benteng" is an original game from Indonesia. The game is less known and by whom provided ,very little information on the internet, because most games are already well known as hide and seek, congklak, kites, etc.. This is a game that emphasizes the many aspects of speed, agility, stamina, teamwork, and concentration.

How to play:
Number of Persons: minimum 5, maximum 15
10 persons divided by 2 teams, let's call it group A and B, then each team has its own castle which usually facing inter-fort one another (unspecified fort-like, but normally shaped something big and can be surrounded 7 people even more, example: walls, large trees). Both / one team sends the victim / victimizing to lure the other team so the team can move the opponent and that's where the game begins. If there will be exposed to enemy prisoners (please note if you want to capture the enemy, we must become the latest to hold the fort, in other words, who most recently held the fort will be on the enemy). The prisoners will hold on to the fort opponent to touch the hand of a friend waiting for rescue.
Win situation will occur when the fort was touched by the enemy (no matter how many people).

Plots fort I selected as a game that represents Indonesia for not only because the game originated from Indonesia, but also want to discuss games that are rarely discussed the (still quite a lot of people in Indonesia who did not know), as I said earlier Indonesia people tend to know the game of hide and seek, congklak, etc..Plots fort I choose to lift the name of the fort hide itself so that it can be seen by many people both domestically and abroad.

The game is recorded history for me because when I was sitting in an elementary school til junior high school, me and my school friends playing this game during the break time, even when there's study time. Usually playing inter-class fortress. Each class send 5-10 people to play against other classes and determine who is best. This game is very fun and challenging. Unconscious conscious, the game is improving skills in co-operation between individuals.

Story Behind The Drawing.

Images that I created to take over angle which is often used by Franck Graetz.Theme in a complex, seen eight small children are busy playing, divided into two teams, Team A which has a stronghold in the existing tree and bird's nest swing, against Team B who has particularly a piece of wooden fortress (located on the edge of the bottom of the paper). Background I have used is a simple house with yellow, brown, to represent the houses in the slums and dirty Indonesia (home of this form often I encounter when I was a kid fan living in the former complex), and the presence of a tribal form of fire on an orange background on the left side of the paper. It represents the fire and the red color psychology itself which has a soul courageous spirit which is an attribute (or color) are identical from the Indonesian nation, sedangkam orange color was chosen because it wants to give the message the afternoon (as we know that the afternoon is usually the child's game time children to leave the house). On the tarmac many visible cracks and standing water, and garbage strewn, I choose as a criticism to Indonesia because it often happens the flood (this also makes the picture a plus for me because Indonesia quite identical with the streets flooded and damaged ). In addition, I inserted some animals such as cats, rats, birds, and chickens. These animals often I have encountered from childhood until now, these animals also have a population that is very much within Indonesia itself. Then in the end went to the character of each child. In the visible may be invisible, but there are differences between the skin of children where there is who is black, brown, even white. I want to give the message that this game can be played by anyone of any race, and can unite the differences of playing hide and cooperation within the fort itself. I insert 4 children that are similar to my friend from the existing eight small children, because I wanted to show unity. The little boy at the bottom I accidentally created using Balinese barong shirt to represent Indonesia, as well as school clothes, wearing football kit of Indonesia national team (in red), white shirt that read "INDONESIA", sarong and moslem's outfit, to support the elements of a 'very Indonesia' in this work. Elementary school children not to force me to picture school wearing, but because it shows my memory personally to be able to go back in time to play this game in the childhood again. This is also supported by the insertion of my self portrait in the picture.
