Artificial Paradises
Artificial Paradises is a succession of paintings in black and white that try to resemble a TV screen or the aesthetics of a video clip. It started with a research of non-conventional materials: different kinds of surfaces, painting tools, and different kinds of images.
Every image is part of a particular history; all images are extruded from colombian mass media and they belong to specific contexts: after painting these images they acquire a new meaning and a new atmosphere.
