TATOU
‘All of us’
-
BRIEF
Develop an identity and system for a new cultural communications agency, catering specifically to ethnicities within New Zealand i.e. Maori, Pacific Island and Asian. This new agency creates unique, effective and relevant communications that resonate on a more personal level, helping to effect social change.

CONCEPT
A vertical word mark takes it's conception from reference to Māori pou whenua or totem poles.
Pou whenua tell a story about cultural heritage in New Zealand. The people (tāngata) and the land (whenua). The wordmark is completely symmetrical - read from both sides equally. Unity and equality in communication.
