Sense of place was set as the final 45 credit project of my first year. We were given Stoke as the place (including the 6 towns within Stoke). I felt that the people of Stoke (my chosen area) gave the best 'sense of place'. I spent some time overhearing conversations, then using one typeface family I came up with this book - each piece of type reflects on the way the words were overheard.
