My main focus on this series was an emphasis on contrast and detail enhanced by light.

My initial idea for this photograph was to use the sun's light to cast a shadow on to the tree stump, while also illuminating the detail on the wood grains.

Metal, Gear, Action was taken indoors, inside of a convention. I wanted the action figure to appear dynamic, so in order to
achieve that, I tilted the angle diagonally, and took the photo at a shallow depth of field. This makes the photo appear as if is in motion.

In order to bring out ou the rusty wire's texture and deatil, this photo was taken at a small aperture and long exposure to compensate for the small aperture.
