Flashback Teaching Aid
This project is a game reminiscent of Bingo that helps student learn historic time periods such as the American Revolution, Civil War and Reconstruction. It is called Flashback. The teacher passes out playing cards with a Bingo style grid on them. Then, the teacher takes a stack of questions cards that correspond with the respected time period on the playing cards. The teacher reads off each question. As the teacher is doing this, the student matches what he or she thinks is the right answer. If they match five in a row, then that student stands up shouts "FLASHBACK!" Then, the student compares answers with the teacher. If the student gets all five right, then they win. I designed the cards and packaging that went along with the project.
